New Event Notification Process and Timelines
East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s (ERYC) Highway Events Team in relation to holding events. A new online application process has been launched making it simpler to plan and organise events in East Yorkshire. All the information you may need to organise a highways event is in the website link below.
Key Points You Need to Know:
- Advance Notice Requirement: All event organisers must notify ERYC of their event at least 12 weeks in advance, with 16 weeks preferred. This is essential to allow sufficient time for the council to assess your event, coordinate with relevant partners, and process any associated requests such as road closures or parking suspensions.
- Failure to Provide Adequate Notice: If the required notice is not given, ERYC will be unable to support your event or process any related traffic management applications. This may result in your event not being able to proceed as planned.
- New Online Application Process: We have launched a new website to streamline the event notification process. All event organisers must now submit details of their event using our online form, available at: https://www.eastriding.gov.uk/leisure/events/organising-a-highway-event/

Still only had information from 3 people regarding what they’re doing in 2026.
Below is the spreadsheet of ideas which I have colour coded to what I know is
confirmed,in the pipeline or I’m not aware is happening.
Please can we go through this, make some notes on what is progressing and
cross out anything that’s not happening, or doesn’t have a delivery organisation.
